Dr. Desta Haileselassie Hagos  

Desta Haileselassie Hagos (IEEE Senior Member) received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Norway, in April 2020. He is currently the AI/ML Technical Lead Manager and Subject Matter Expert for the Data Science Training Core (DSTC) program under the NIH AIM-AHEAD grant, at the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Howard University, Washington, DC, USA. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Software and Computer Systems (SCS), Department of Computer Science, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, where he worked on the H2020-EU project, ExtremeEarth: From Copernicus Big Data to Extreme Earth Analytics. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
