AI4PC Lab Members at the Symposium
The AI4PC lab showed strong representation at the 2025 National Symposium on Equitable AI(N-SEA) held the weekend of April 5th at Morgan State University in Baltimore. Twelve lab researchers—Christopher Watson, Jabez Agyemang-Prempeh, Aayush Acharya, Saharsha Tiwari, Joseph Sankah, Amir Ince, Abdulmujeeb Lawal, Kritika Pant, Abhishek Khanal, Mildness Akomoize, Suprabhat Rijal and Prasun Dhungana—presented research posters highlighting the lab's work in AI and NLP applications.
The symposium, organized by Morgan State's Center for Equitable AI & Machine Learning Systems (CEAMLS), addressed critical aspects of AI deployment across multiple sectors, including healthcare, education, criminal justice, and environmental management. This year's program emphasized practical implementation, impact assessment methodologies, and emerging AI technologies.
Dr. Aryal accompanied the student delegation as they engaged with prominent researchers in the field, while also being part of a very informative panel that discussed AI as a catalyst for social change.
The AI4PC team's participation in this symposium reflects the laboratory's ongoing commitment to addressing equity considerations in artificial intelligence development and implementation.
